You understand that anyone can experience a tough time and that a moment of kindness can make all the difference.
You love attention to detail and deadlines, you co-author stories that funders want to read, and you make online portals, Xero and Google Sheets behave. You’re discreet, kai‑centred, upbeat and can work on your own or alongside our small 2.5 FTE, remote-working HQ team. You’ll chat with Head Bitches (chapter leads) and translate their mahi into solid applications and reports.

Ngā mihi nui
GBB is a nationwide for-purpose organisation that spreads kindness in the community through home-baking. Our dream is that anyone having a tough time in Aotearoa New Zealand feels supported and valued, whatever their circumstances. We believe that everyone deserves treats and that kindness benefits everyone involved, rippling through the community.
We have about 3,500 Good Bitches in 32 chapters from Bay of Islands to Invercargill who bake treats in their own kitchens for distribution to about 610 recipient organisations that support local people in their communities having some kind of a tough time.
We were founded a decade ago and are very much on a growth trajectory – but in a carefully measured way – which means there’s a lot needed to keep the ovens on and the beaters beating. We want to maximise the spread of kindness through our communities but also ensure that the ‘moment of sweetness’ doesn’t become unmanageable for our recipients or stop being fun for our volunteers, and that everyone has a consistently excellent experience when they come into contact with GBB.
