About Us

Digital Seniors is a registered charity on a mission to bridge the digital divide.  We provide essential support to a rapidly growing population of seniors to navigate digital tools and technology, empowering them to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Our community hubs are lifelines, fostering connection and empowerment for local seniors. At our hubs we provide high-quality, one-on-one coaching to help seniors aged 65+ navigate the digital world with confidence.

If you are an experienced leader in the for-purpose sector, passionate about improving outcomes for older people, then we have an exciting opportunity to be a part of our team as Collaboration Lead (Auckland).

The Opportunity

The Collaboration Lead (Auckland), is an essential leadership role driving Digital Seniors' work across North and East Auckland to improve outcomes for older adults.

Based in Auckland, and working remotely, you will:

  • lead local ecosystem engagement, strengthening collaborative partnerships across Auckland’s senior support network
  • lead promotional activities
  • secure community grant funding
  • work closely with the North Auckland Service Lead and East Auckland Service Lead to support community hub delivery, and
  • collaborate with the team across our other communities.

Core aspects to the role

  • Ecosystem and community leadership: Build and strengthen collaborative partnerships across Auckland’s senior support network.

  • Grant funding and reporting: Lead local grant funding efforts—actively researching opportunities, writing compelling grant applications, overseeing expenditure, and delivering accountability reporting.

  • Communication and storytelling: Capture compelling stories from hubs and use data from our CRM tool (Infoodle) to track reach and share community impact.

  • Servant leadership and culture:  Join a positive, values-aligned team. Provide leadership support for our two Auckland Service Leads, serve as an escalation point, assist with hub delivery during leave or sickness, and support coach meetings and training.

  • National collaboration: Partner with the General Manager, Wairarapa Co-Lead, and national team to align regional operations with organisational direction.

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for a proactive, independent worker who thrives in a collaborative, remote environment.

  • Inspiring leadership: A warm, positive, and engaging leadership style that inspires teams and community partners, grounded in our core capabilities.

  • Funding expertise: Proven experience in researching, writing, securing, and reporting on community grant funding, alongside budget management skills.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Proactive networking skills with a demonstrated ability to initiate, build, and maintain strong relationships across community groups and businesses.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentation delivery (in-person and online), and promotional activities.

  • Digital proficiency: High digital literacy, particularly with Google Workspace. Experience with CRM tools such as Infoodle is an advantage.

  • Drive and heart: Enthusiastic, highly organised, well-connected, and a genuine interest in empowering seniors in our communities.  A proactive team player capable of working independently.

Why Join Us?

  • Flexibility: This is a fully remote position. You’ll need your own device and a secure network, but how you structure your weekly hours is largely up to you.

  • Purpose-driven work: Everything we do directly supports our mission to keep seniors active and engaged in the digital age.

  • A collaborative culture: You’ll be joining a team that values connection, responsiveness, and a "strong team player" attitude.

Ready to help us bridge the divide? If you are ready to make a meaningful difference for seniors in Auckland and lead a purpose-driven community team, we would love to hear from you!
