Job Description

Psychotherapy Clinical Training Coordinator Psychosynthesis South Pacific Trust

Psychosynthesis South Pacific Trust is looking for a Clinical Training Coordinator to lead the coordination of years 2-5 of our Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy Clinical Training Programme (CTP).

This is a relational, high-trust role at the heart of our organisation. You'll coordinate a team of experienced facilitators, support students through a multi-year clinical training, and help hold the container for a programme grounded in right relationship and ethical practice. Starts late 2026/early 2027. Reports to the PSP Trustees.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate delivery of the CTP across each of its 24 training weekends (you won't need to attend every one)
  • Appoint and work alongside teaching faculty, in liaison with the PSP Trustees
  • Hold faculty as a group: fostering open communication, safety, and constructive conflict resolution
  • Track student progress, assignments, and six-monthly assessments
  • Liaise with students' guides, supervisors, and the faculty supervisor
  • Manage apprentices within the programme
  • Sign off completion diplomas
  • Keep communication flowing between students, faculty, trustees, administrators, and contractors

What we're looking for

  • Strong organisational, management, and communication skills
  • Right-relating skills and experience (e.g. NVC, mediation, conflict management)
  • Your own ongoing practice of personal development, through counselling, psychotherapy, or another modality
  • Experience running long-term trainings or managing a faculty/team
  • Familiarity with psychosynthesis maps, models, and theory in the Aotearoa/New Zealand context (e.g. completion of PSP Essentials)
  • Experience and knowledge of working with Te Tiriti o Waitangi, te ao Māori, and the cultures of Aotearoa, or other indigenous culture
  • A genuine interest in ethics, decolonisation, anti-racism, and ecology
  • Bonus: a qualification in psychosynthesis counselling or psychotherapy, or practice in another therapeutic modality
