Volunteer Grant Writer

Are you passionate about keeping our community’s heart beating?

The Tāwera Community Trust is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic volunteer to help us secure the future of the historic Sheffield Memorial Pool. We need a skilled grant writer to help us transform this 1953 landmark into a modern, sustainable hub for everyone, ensuring generations to come can continue to connect, swim, and thrive in our wonderful rural community.

Responsibilities may include:

• Researching grant and funding opportunities
• Assisting with preparation of funding applications and support documentation
• Writing grant applications, ensuring these are complete and lodged on time
• Tracking funds recieved
• Coordinating fundraising, sponsorship and grant application calendar
• Assisting with preparation of accountability reports

• You'll have excellent written communication skills
• You will be organised, proactive and self-motivated
• You love to "muck in," take initiative, and get things done
• You genuinely enjoy helping others and find real satisfaction in seeing a grant application succeed and make a tangible difference for our community
• You bring a positive, fun energy to the team and enjoy connecting with the people you’re helping.
