About the Role:

The role of the Receptionist is to provide reception and administrative services in support of the wider operation of 
the Community Ministries of the Salvation Army.
− Advance the mission of The Salvation Army
− Provide a warm welcome, and responsive point of connection for all people arriving at the centre
− Provide administrative and service delivery tasks for the wider team
− Connecting people to Community Ministries and Corps programmes that enhance their current 
circumstances and that meet individual needs.
Duties in line with the positive outcomes of the role.

What will your responsibilities be:

  • Reception Duties − Operate in a manner that is warm and welcoming to all visitors and staff
    − Warmly answer phone calls and emails, directing queries to the correct contacts.
    − Provide current and relevant information to visitors
    − Connect clients with appropriate staff and services
    − Ensure visitor / contractor logs are completed
    − Ensure the reception and communal staff areas are kept clean and tidy
    − Ensure programmes and services are promoted
    − Maintain confidentiality and boundaries
    − Assist staff with client bookings
    − Support and assist other member of the team in achieving their work goals
    - Ensure data entry is kept up to data

 Proven customer service skills, able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
 Experienced and skilled at working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
 Proven Administration/reception experience

This role is permanent/part time and hours worked will be 30 hours per week.

The starting salary for this role will fall between $45,162.00 and $48,746.568 pro rated gross per annum.

The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $28.95 and $31.25 per hour.
