If you have an eye for detail, great organisation skills, and are passionate about working for a greener and fairer Aotearoa, then this might be your ideal job. The Green Party is working hard to provide its small team of office staff with a rewarding work environment where each person is valued and we can succeed in this year’s general election.

The Governance and Campaign Support Administrator will support members of the Green Party’s Kaunihera (Council), the Party Co-convenors and the Party Secretary through the final stages of the general election campaign.

The Governance and Campaign Support Administrator will schedule and provide administrative support to Kaunihera meetings and other relevant committees, including facilitating reports across the Party. The Governance Administrator will offer specific administrative support and event planning for the Party Co-convenors’ meetings such as the AGM, Summer Conference, Member Assemblies and Party-wide calls. They will also support the General Manager with their functions as Party Secretary, including ad hoc work on the general election campaign.

The successful candidate will have excellent note-taking skills, attention to detail, and be able to work in a self-motivated way to action tasks in a timely manner. They will provide and encourage a high-quality flow of communication in both directions between Kaunihera and the various parts of the national level of the Party.

The member-driven nature of the organisation means that the Administrator will need to be available during evenings and occasional weekends.

The role will be based in our Party office in central Wellington.

The Green Party is proactively looking to hire Māori and Pasifika candidates and is committed to equal employment opportunities. We acknowledge the challenges of applying especially for young, disabled, LGBTIQA+, women and/or people of colour. We are happy to have a conversation about how we can support your application.
