Job Description

As the largest professional association for psychologists in Aotearoa, the New Zealand Psychological Society offers a wide array of professional development opportunities to support our members. 

We need you to make it happen! 

The Professional Development and Events Coordinator role has responsibility for:

  • Developing an ongoing, high-quality programme of professional development opportunities for members and other professionals that reflects the Society’s strategic objectives, and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi 
  • Coordinating the Society’s Annual Conference and Psychology Week 
  • Supporting Volunteer Committees – Branches, Institutes, Special Interest Groups to offer their social, networking and professional development events for their members

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Understanding or experience of professional development planning and delivery formats
  • Competent with technology - using Zoom, Teams, Databases, etc. 
  • Experience with running large events over multiple days
  • Builds friendly and professional relationships with members and external stakeholders.

The role is 25 hours per week (part-time) and can be based anywhere in the country as it is remote.  

Occasional travel is necessary.

Salary

$73,000 FTE / $45,625 Actual
