Job Description

Dunedin Community House (DCH) is in the heart of Ōtepoti/Dunedin, providing affordable office and meeting space for a wide range of community organisations, social services and not-for-profit groups. Our job is to make it easy for others to do good work – by offering a well-run, welcoming, practical space.

We’re looking for a House Manager to keep the place running smoothly behind the scenes.

The role

This is a practical, hands-on job. You will:

  • Manage room bookings (using SuperSaaS) and day-to-day tenant/room user enquiries
  • Personally clean and service common areas, kitchenettes and meeting rooms
  • Coordinate rubbish/recycling, basic maintenance and contractors
  • Do core financial admin (invoicing, accounts payable / receivable, reconciliations) in Xero
  • Use Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets) to keep records and information up to date

About you

You are:

  • Organised, practical and happy to roll up your sleeves
  • Comfortable combining cleaning, facilities tasks and office admin
  • Confident with basic finance tasks (Xero experience an advantage)
  • Familiar with Google Workspace and open to learning new systems
  • Keen to support community organisations and the work they do

Position: House Manager
Hours: Approx. 27.5 hours per week (0.7 FTE)
Location: Dunedin CBD
Pay: Approx. $30 per hour, depending on experience
