Attention all creative minds! Join the fight against climate change and make a difference with your talents! We're looking for a volunteer social media manager to help us spread the word about the importance of taking action on climate change. You'll get work experience and an opportunity to promote purposeful actions on social media.
We’re Climate Club, a newsletter with over 5k subscribers on various social channels, aiming to help people anxious about the climate crisis find ways to take action.
You'll be responsible for creating & scheduling posts on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. You will work closely with both the newsletter and workshop teams to create social media content to promote our activities and climate actions. We have Canva templates for most of our regular weekly newsletter posts. For our workshops, you'll work with our workshop organisers to translate event information and posters into social posts. There is also opportunity to create your own content, if you are so inclined! There will also be team meetings roughly once every 2 months, plus the option for you to also pop into our weekly Monday night newsletter meetings which is a great opportunity to connect regularly with other volunteers. The time commitment is a flexible 2-3 hours a week, fully remote-friendly.
You’re a great fit if you:
Are passionate about climate action
Enjoy creating content on social media, and have experience creating your own posts / video
Understand how other people feel, and what motivates them
Are able to be a reliable team player who can work independently, and communicate clearly on needs & timelines
Cheers!
You don’t have to meet all of the bullet points above to be the right person for the role, they are just guidelines. If you are interested, please do get in touch.
