About the role

A varied digital role with a strong focus on Meta and Google advertising. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Engagement, you'll deliver campaigns in-house and manage one direct report, our Marketing Assistant, supporting their development and building their digital skills. This role is busy, varied and integral to our work.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Marketing and Fundraising teams to deliver digital fundraising campaigns across our events, including Shave for a Cure, the Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge and the Step Up Sky Tower Challenge.

  • Plan, build, manage and optimise Meta and Google Ads campaigns, including targeting, creative testing, budget management and conversion tracking.

  • Create and implement digital and social media strategies that support Blood Cancer NZ's service delivery, fundraising and overall brand strategy.

  • Manage and develop our Marketing Assistant, providing clear priorities, guidance and feedback.

  • Lead the maintenance and development of our owned websites, using CMS platforms to manage content and improve user experience.

  • Provide monthly campaign reporting, using analytics to fine-tune performance and offer insights to improve future activity.

  • Attract new audiences to Blood Cancer NZ who engage with and support our vision to cure and mission to care.

  • Monitor digital activity, identify risks and recommend improvements to user experience, advertising costs and return on investment.

  • Evaluate external digital proposals and work with agencies as needed to support campaign objectives.

  • Support the Head of Marketing & Engagement in the digital aspects of acquisition, retention and fundraising.

About you

  • Proven digital marketing experience, particularly in managing Meta and Google Ads campaigns.

  • Hands-on experience planning, building and optimising Meta and Google Ads campaigns, along with experience using website content management systems (CMS).

  • Some people management experience would be ideal.

  • Knowledge of email marketing and CRM platforms would be helpful, but can be developed in the role.

  • Self-motivated, knowledgeable and up for a challenge.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and working with stakeholders with different requirements.

  • Deliver work on time and within budget, using data to measure results and improve performance.

  • A positive team member with a genuine interest in succeeding for the benefit of the people Blood Cancer NZ serves: blood cancer patients and their families and carers.
