
About the role
We are seeking an experienced case management professional to join the Paerewa Ngaio | Professional Standards team at Te Kaunihera Rata o Aotearoa | Medical Council of New Zealand. The Professional Standards Adviser is a key regulatory role supporting the Council in carrying out its statutory functions under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (HPCAA).
You’ll play an important role in supporting fair, consistent and legally robust management of complex professional conduct and competence matters involving medical practitioners. Working collaboratively across a range of professional standards activities, you’ll provide high-quality regulatory advice, analysis and case management support, helping ensure concerns about medical practitioners are carefully assessed and appropriately progressed.
