Meals on Wheels Driver, Henderson

Job Description

URGENT NEED!

Our Meals on Wheels service supports older, ill, and disabled people living at home who would otherwise struggle to provide healthy meals for themselves. MoW volunteers deliver hot meals and have a friendly chat with people in need in Henderson and the surrounding West Auckland neighbourhoods. 

  • Shifts start and end at the meal pick-up point on Waitākere Hospital grounds on Lincoln Road
  • Meal pick-up time is 11.30am, Monday to Friday in Henderson
  • We provide a small contribution to costs

Delivery area: Henderson, Glen Eden, Te Atatū South, Te Atatū Peninsula, Massey, Hobsonville, Ranui, Swanson, New Lynn, and Titirangi.

Your tasks

Most of our drivers deliver meals once a week or every two weeks, however shifts are flexible.  

  • Pick up meals in your car.  
  • Deliver meals to people and have a brief chat at the door.   
  • Go home feeling good that you’ve helped someone out today.
