Trust Manager

Job Description

Thank you for taking part in this process for the provision of Trust Management services to the Auckland Community Housing Trust (ACHT).

Briefly, ACHT is an incorporated Charitable Trust established in July 2006 to assist people within the Auckland region with housing needs to access and retain suitable housing within their financial means. The Trust board is made up of nine volunteer trustees who meet bi-monthly (every two months) in a central Auckland location.

We prioritise housing support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges, living with disabilities, and others in our community who face barriers to securing and maintaining safe, secure and affordable housing. Our approach is grounded in recognising housing as a fundamental human right, and we are committed to delivering services with empathy, dignity, and respect for all tenants.

ACHT currently owns 25 houses in two primary locations, Takanini and Henderson (with one outlier). Twelve are located at 12A Tironui Station Road East (units 2-3,5-12,16-17), 56C Takanini School Road, and 3 Hulme Place (units 12-23). At the time of writing, all homes are tenanted and are healthy home compliant.

As a registered social housing provider, we want to be more than a traditional landlord; we are committed to supporting people into housing and want to be empathetic with the tenants who reside in our homes. Through the current recruitment process, we are looking for a Trust Manager who shares our values to help us grow into the future.

Attached is the position description describing the work that is required. It is envisaged that the work should take no more than 10 – 15 hour per week, with an hourly rate negotiated based on experience.

Thank you for making the time to apply for this role. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me (holly.m@acht.co.nz).
