About the Role

Pasifika Festivals Aotearoa Incorporated Society (PFA Inc.) is looking for a Communications, Engagement & Digital Strategy Lead to lead our communications, digital presence, storytelling and audience engagement.

This is a key role responsible for growing PFA Inc.'s visibility and strengthening how we connect with Pacific festivals, communities, members, partners and stakeholders across Aotearoa.

From shaping our communications and digital strategy to managing our website, Digital Pasifika Hub and social platforms, you'll help tell the stories of our sector, grow engagement and ensure our digital presence reflects the vibrant Pacific festival ecosystem we serve.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading PFA Inc.'s communications, engagement and digital strategy

  • Managing and growing our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn platforms

  • Managing and developing the PFA Inc. website and Digital Pasifika Hub

  • Developing engaging content, campaigns and sector storytelling

  • Sharing the stories and impact of Pacific festivals, leaders and communities

  • Growing digital audiences and strengthening engagement across our national network

  • Supporting communications for programmes, Fono, membership and sector initiatives

  • Strengthening PFA Inc.'s brand and digital communications

  • Monitoring digital performance and using insights to continually improve reach and engagement

We Are Looking For Someone Who

Brings a strong mix of strategic thinking, creativity and hands-on digital capability, with experience in communications, digital marketing, social media, content creation or a related field.

You'll be a strong storyteller and communicator who can see the bigger picture while also making things happen.

Experience or understanding of Pacific communities, arts, culture, festivals or community development would be highly valued.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone excited about using communications and digital storytelling to connect our village, amplify Pacific festival stories and strengthen the visibility of our sector across Aotearoa.

Key Details

  • Contract: 7 September 2026 - 29 July 2027

  • Contract Hours: 20 hours per week | $46.00 + GST per hour 

  • Total Contract Value: $43,240.00 + GST

  • Location: Aotearoa (some travel required)
