As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic initiatives. This is a key position within our finance team, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to make a real impact, able to manage deadlines effectively, and confident in communicating financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who not only brings technical expertise but also has leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and driving continuous improvements in financial reporting and controls. A key aspect of the role will include assisting cost centre managers with understanding financial information, supporting forecasting and budgeting processes and strengthening reporting across the union.  An aptitude for financial modelling, to provide leadership an understanding of the impact of financial decisions and external changes affecting the union’s membership.

You should have a knowledge of administrative systems and procedures and the ability to work autonomously and within a team Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central financial software would be an advantage.

The salary range for this position is Steps 11-20 $100,285 - $134-450.  New employees enter the range on a starting rate based upon previous relevant experience and commensurate with internal relativities. Progression to the top of the scale is by regular and automatic service steps.
