About the Role:

What will your responsibilities be:

• Centre Leadership & Operations – Provide overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the Community Ministries centre, ensuring services are safe, effective, and aligned with The Salvation Army’s mission and values.
• People & Team Leadership – Lead, support, and develop staff through effective supervision, wellbeing practices, performance management, and capability building in a demanding social services environment.
• Service Quality & Outcomes – Oversee the delivery and quality of holistic, trauma‑informed services, ensuring practice aligns with Salvation Army frameworks, contractual requirements, and community needs.
• Financial & Resource Stewardship – Manage budgets, funding, and resources responsibly, including identifying funding opportunities, monitoring financial risks, and ensuring accountability and sustainability.
• Partnership & Integrated Mission – Build strong relationships with Corps (Church) leadership, Salvation Army services, iwi, and community partners to support integrated mission, collaboration, and positive outcomes for individuals and whānau.

• Confident connector and steward, able to build strong partnerships, manage resources responsibly, and lead services toward sustainable, positive outcomes.
• Culturally competent and responsive, with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a genuine willingness to continue developing personal and professional cultural capability.

This role is permanent/full time and hours worked will be 37.5hrs per week.

The starting salary for this role will fall between $92,000 and $102,000 gross per annum.
