To support this continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager to build the operational capability that will underpin our future success.

Te tūranga | The opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal senior leadership role responsible for ensuring Hāpai Tūhono has the systems, processes, technology and operational foundations required to support sustainable growth. You'll work across every part of the organisation, from finance and technology through to procurement, compliance, people, and business improvement, creating the infrastructure that enables kaimahi to deliver outstanding outcomes for whānau.

This is far more than an operations role. It's an opportunity to help build an organisation designed for the future.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic operational planning and organisational performance.
• Corporate services, including administration, facilities, fleet and organisational infrastructure.
• Financial operations, budgeting, procurement and business performance.
• Technology, digital transformation and AI-enabled business systems.
• Health & Safety risk and organisational compliance.
• Human Resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding and working with Employment Hero.
• Continuous improvement, quality assurance and smarter ways of working.
• Supplier, contractor and strategic operational relationships.
• Organisational projects and change initiatives that support long-term growth.

We're looking for someone who enjoys building organisations, not simply maintaining them.

You'll be a strategic and commercially minded leader who is equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves when required. You'll enjoy solving complex problems, improving systems, leading change and creating environments where people can do their best work.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Proven senior operational leadership experience.
• Strong commercial, financial and business acumen.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and organisational change.
• Expertise in business improvement and operational excellence.
• Confidence leading technology, systems and digital transformation initiatives.
• Outstanding communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
• Sound judgement, integrity and a collaborative leadership style.
• An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an appreciation of kaupapa Māori values.
