Job Description

About Critical Signals

Critical Signals is a collective endeavour for creative resilience, a gathering place for people who believe communities can shape their own futures. Grounded in anticipation and participation, we bring together artists, researchers, technologists and communities to ask what changes we could make to our societies, infrastructure, food and energy systems to survive disruption and thrive through it. We combine arts, tech, politics and shared meals in public spaces where hopes and fears can be spoken honestly and turned into action.

The role

The Delivery Lead will be the connective tissue of the season, moving things forward, assisting people to contribute and collaborate together, and ensuring the programme thrives in the community.

You will be an independent contractor, self-led and flexible, working alongside a wider voluntary crew.

The role is a practical but inspiring one; spanning planning, promotion, programme coordination, and the day-to-day running of a busy public-facing hub for our events and community.

You will liaise with our programme providers (workshop leaders, speakers and installation artists) to coordinate and promote their events. Working with the team and speakers, you will help get the word out about Critical Signals, confirm the programme, set up ticketing, and act as the liaison for marketing and communications, as well as collaborating closely with the space design and hosting team.

Sitting alongside our curator and core team, you'll be trusted to take initiative, work independently, and help shape how this season comes together. You will keep your finger on the pulse, both of the project timeline and of opportunities that emerge, bringing in the right working group at the right time and monitoring progress on tasks.
