About the role:
Talking Matters is a national, social impact NGO focused on driving great outcomes for pēpi and tamariki by promoting early language. Our small team of innovators work from strategic locations around Aotearoa, led by management based in Auckland. We are currently seeking a bright, tech savvy administrator to support the team and their work.
Main duties:
- triaging email and phone enquiries, ensuring friendly and timely responses
- organising and distributing resources
- coordinating meetings - agenda, documentation, minutes, and venue/travel/catering if required
- managing workshops – including venues, catering, tech support, schedules
- maintaining the website and coordinating social media and other communications
- liaising with suppliers and managing purchase orders.
Attributes:
The ideal candidate will be proactive and self-motivated, adaptable, with great communication and interpersonal skills. They will be competent in file management, word processing and data entry (with strong attention to detail and accuracy). Ideally they will be based in or near Auckland, to enable in-person catch-ups with management.
16 hours/week – over 3 or 4 days (you choose!) - start at 9am
Working from home, with regular (eg monthly) meet-ups in person.
Skills & Experience
- Previous administration experience supporting a team
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, Powerpoint)
- Tech and Social media savvy
- Positive “can do” attitude and flexible
- Highly organised, systematic and systems oriented
