About the role

We are seeking a Youth Coach to join our Youth Service team. Our Youth Service team works with rangatahi, who are applying for, or in receipt of, a youth payment or young parent payment through MSD.  The team supports rangatahi to create opportunities for their future by working alongside them to achieve their personal goals; to explore education and/or employment opportunities; and to understand their payment entitlements and obligations. 

What we're looking for

You'll enjoy working to improve the wellbeing of rangatahi in our community. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience working with rangatahi, or rangatahi not engaged in education or training

  • A tertiary qualification in Youth Development, Social Work or similar qualification would be an advantage

  • A demonstrated understanding of the principles of positive youth development, theories, and experience to support this

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good understanding of technology, and experience in using a client database

  • A full, clean drivers' licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

About Vibe

Vibe (Hutt Valley Youth Health Trust) is the Hutt Valley’s Youth One Stop Shop delivering holistic primary health and wellbeing services to any rangatahi aged 10-24 living in the Hutt Valley.  Vibe has been delivering services that support rangatahi to thrive and achieve their potential, for the past 29 years.

Salary

$58,000 - $77,000 dependent on skills and experience
