Advisor Corporate Relations

Job Description

  • Grow strategic partnerships with leading New Zealand organisations
  • Use your commercial nous for purpose-driven impact
  • Auckland based, with Wellington or Christchurch considered

About the role

New Zealand Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian network, supporting people in times of need and helping communities build resilience across Aotearoa.

They are now seeking an Advisor Corporate Relations to strengthen existing partnerships and unlock new growth opportunities. This is a key revenue-generating role and the sole position dedicated fully to corporate relationships, giving you real ownership and visibility.

While partnership activity is very much a team effort, this role will lead the charge in building meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships with businesses that want to make a difference.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the corporate landscape, knows how organisations assess partnership value, and knows how to create partnerships that deliver mutual value.

Auckland is preferred, however candidates based in Wellington and Christchurch will also be considered.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners
  • Strengthen existing relationships and increase their value and impact
  • Identify, secure and grow new high-value partnership opportunities
  • Develop compelling proposals, campaigns, and partnership ideas
  • Support partnership campaigns with engaging content across digital and social channels
  • Build strong internal relationships to deliver great partner experiences
  • Monitor results, report impact, and identify future opportunities
  • Help shape the future direction of corporate partnerships income

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in partnerships, account management, sponsorship, business development, fundraising, or related commercial roles
  • Strong understanding of how corporates assess partnerships and investment opportunities
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to spot and grow opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence using digital and social media channels
  • Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Experience contributing to campaign or partnership content would be an advantage
  • Passion for purpose-led work and creating impact

Experience in fundraising or the not-for-profit sector would be valuable, but is not essential. We’re equally interested in candidates with transferable commercial partnerships experience who can quickly learn the fundraising side.

Why join New Zealand Red Cross?

This is an opportunity to own and grow an important income stream for one of New Zealand’s most respected organisations. You’ll have the platform, brand, and internal support to build partnerships that create genuine impact.

Benefits include:

  • Five weeks annual leave
  • Flexible/hybrid working options
  • Career development opportunities
  • Annual flu vaccinations
  • Discounts on Southern Cross health insurance
