Volunteer Coach & Programme Lead (two roles available)
Part-time fixed term until 30 June 2027 (14 hours a week, two roles available)
$32/hour
Make a real difference in people’s lives through volunteering
Volunteer Wellington has two roles available at 14 hours a week each (one would cover Wellington, the other Hutt and Porirua).
Ideally a team of two would take on the role, sharing the work and supporting each other, but if there is a strong candidate confident to lead and deliver across all three locations we would love to hear from you.
The Volunteer Coach & Programme Lead roles focus on delivering a meaningful programme that supports people receiving a Work and Income benefit to engage in volunteering as a pathway to
(1) build confidence, develop skills, realise potential and enhance work readiness -OR-
(2) confidence, skills development, and strengthening employment potential.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two days are the same. Most of the role is working directly in a coaching capacity one-on-one, to explore and guide people into meaningful volunteer opportunities. In addition, as the Programme Lead you’ll oversee the programme, maintain relationships with our external stakeholders and report on progress.
This role is primarily based from our office in Wellington, but the programme covers the Hutt and Porirua so travel will be required between locations.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is both people-focused and outcomes-driven, with the ability to build trust and inspire change.
You will bring:
