Job Description

The Elephant Trust is a charitable trust on a mission to reduce bullying in Aotearoa by training and supporting schools to implement the evidence-based bullying prevention programme, KiVa, which is proven to reduce bullying and victimisation in NZ schools.

We would be incredibly grateful for someone to help build awareness of KiVa through social media and would welcome someone to volunteer on a weekly or fortnightly basis (whatever would fit their schedule best but approximately 2-3 hours a fortnight).

The role – Volunteer Social Media Coordinator would involve:

  • Overseeing our Facebook (which has just over 3,000 followers) Instagram and LinkedIn pages
  • Creating, identifying and sharing content in line with KiVa key messages/values/research (we will train you on this but having a passion for improving mental health and wellbeing, inclusivity and diversity would be a positive)
  • Planning and scheduling regular social media posts
  • Building KiVa NZ’s ‘presence’ on Social Media by liking/commenting/sharing posts from our KiVa community
  • Any other creative ideas you may have would be welcomed.

Our team is based in Wellington but we work remotely so you could be based anywhere.

There is loads of room in our tiny (but mighty ; ) charitable trust to grow and develop.
