We’re building the future of fundraising at Burnett Foundation Aotearoa — and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
Build the relationships that power impact.
Behind every meaningful partnership is a spark, a shared belief that together, we can do more.
At Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, partnerships aren’t transactional. They’re purposeful, long-term, and grounded in impact. As we grow and evolve, we’re looking for a Fundraising Specialist – Partnerships to help us expand that network and deepen those connections.
Why this role matters
The right partnerships don’t just fund our work, they amplify it.
From corporate collaborators to trusts, foundations, and legacy donors, you’ll connect people and organisations to a cause that matters, creating opportunities that are mutually valuable and deeply meaningful.
What you’ll do
This is a role for someone who thrives on connection and momentum. You'll:
Develop and grow strategic partnerships across corporate, government, and community sectors
Lead Gifts in Wills and mid-level donor programmes, building lasting relationships
Identify and secure funding through trusts and foundations
Contribute to high-profile campaigns and events like Sweat with Pride and Big Gay Out
Turn conversations into commitments, and commitments into long-term impact
What you bring
You’re a natural relationship builder with a strategic mindset.
You likely have:
Experience in partnerships, fundraising, or business development
Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
Strong communication and proposal writing skills
The ability to spot opportunities and bring them to life
And importantly, you understand that great partnerships are built on trust, authenticity, and shared purpose.
Why join us
Work on partnerships that genuinely make a difference
Be part of a collaborative, passionate team
Help shape how we grow and innovate in fundraising
Contribute to a mission that impacts communities across Aotearoa
