Lead the work that fuels change.
Change opens the door to new opportunities and right now, we’re building something special.
At Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, fundraising isn’t just about revenue, it’s about connection, community, and creating an Aotearoa where people living with or affected by HIV can thrive.
As we evolve our Fundraising Team, sharpen our strategy, and build for the future, we’re looking for a Fundraising and Events Manager to step into a pivotal leadership role and help shape what comes next.
Why this role matters
Every campaign, every partnership, every donation helps drive real impact, from prevention and education to support services and advocacy.
You’ll be at the centre of it.
Building and leading a talented team and a diverse fundraising portfolio, you’ll bring together people, ideas, and opportunities to grow sustainable income and deepen our impact across Aotearoa.
What you’ll lead
This is a role with both scale and substance. You’ll:
Shape and deliver our national fundraising strategy
Build and lead a high-performing, passionate team
Oversee multiple income streams, from partnerships and events to individual giving and philanthropy
Build meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and communities
Turn insight into action, and action into impact
What you bring
You’re equal parts strategist and doer. A relationship builder who can inspire trust and momentum.
You likely have:
Experience leading fundraising or revenue teams
A track record of delivering growth across multiple channels
The ability to bring people with you, internally and externally
Strong commercial thinking, balanced with purpose and empathy
But more than anything, you care about the why behind the work.
Why join us
At Burnett Foundation Aotearoa, you’ll be part of a team that leads with purpose, courage, and care.
This is your chance to:
Lead work that has visible, meaningful impact
Shape the future of fundraising in a trusted national organisation
Be part of an inclusive, values-led culture
Work alongside people who are deeply committed to the communities we serve
About us
For over 30 years, Burnett Foundation Aotearoa has been at the forefront of the response to HIV in Aotearoa. Today, we continue that legacy, working towards zero HIV transmissions and a future where everyone can flourish.
Ready to lead what matters?
If you’re looking for a role where strategy meets purpose, and where your work truly makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to submit your CV and cover letter promptly.
We strongly encourage applications from takatāpui, LGBTQIA+ communities, people living with HIV, Māori, and people from high HIV prevalence countries.
