Te Rau Herenga o Aotearoa (LIANZA) has provided leadership to the wider library and information profession for over 100 years.
With a strong national network, active member communities and volunteer base, an established profile, and strong international connections, LIANZA spans the diverse library and information sector. This includes public, school, tertiary, health, prison, special libraries and information services.
As the national peak body, LIANZA plays a central role in strengthening workforce capability, supporting professionals throughout their careers, and helping the sector connect and respond to emerging challenges.
LIANZA seeks appointed Board members to strengthen our governance capability and strategic impact. These appointments are intended to complement the skills and experience of elected members and support the Board in delivering on LIANZA’s strategic priorities.
LIANZA is particularly interested in candidates with experience in governance, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and strategic leadership. Experience working with central or local government, understanding public sector decision-making, developing partnerships, or supporting philanthropic or sponsorship opportunities would be highly valuable.
