Role Profile

We’re looking for an online marketing person with heart! A thinker and a doer, who can:

  • Build a clear and effective marketing strategy that increases online sales of our products and gets more people through the door of the ReMakery.

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that increases online sales and deepens community engagement.

  • Where necessary, refresh, strengthen and grow the Common Unity brand across all digital channels.

Person Profile

  • You understand social media and websites and are experienced in using these to generate interest and convert it to action.

  • You understand e-commerce and how to design an online shop that attracts sales.

  • You are comfortable turning big ideas into practical, achievable plans.

  • You are values-driven and aligned with our kaupapa.

  • You are flexible, creative and community-minded and able to work collaboratively with a small, passionate team.

  • You understand and are committed to honoring the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

What Success Looks Like

Tier 1 Outcomes

  • Increased online and in-store sales and demand for our products.

  • More people are visiting the ReMakery and see it as a desirable destination. 

Tier 2 Outcomes

  • More social media engagement and increased visibility online.

  • People understand our brand and kaupapa and want to support us - financially and otherwise.

Key Responsibilities, in order of priority:

Online Marketing

  • Overhaul and optimise our online store.

  • Increase online sales through improved user experience, product presentation, and digital marketing.

Social Media & Content

  • Develop and implement a clear social media strategy.

  • Increase engagement, reach and follower interaction.

  • Create content that is purposeful, on-brand and efficient to produce.

Website & Digital Presence

  • Update our website and other online pages, where required.

  • Coordinate new photography and visual assets, where required

Brand 

  • Ensure brand consistency across website, social media, merchandise and communications.

  • Develop messaging that clearly communicates our kaupapa and impact.

In-store Marketing 

  • Work with the wider team to collaborate and advise on in-store marketing.

This is a part-time one year fixed-term role. The role is for 5 - 7 hours per week, paying between $28.95 - $32 an hour, depending on experience.
