Help shape the future for migrants and former refugees in Aotearoa New Zealand  
  
English Language Partners New Zealand (ELPNZ) is seeking two experienced and passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees and contribute to the strategic governance of this respected national Not-for-Profit organisation operating in the fast changing and competitive education sector.  
For over 40 years, ELPNZ has supported adult migrants and former refugees to learn English, build confidence, and successfully settle into life in Aotearoa New Zealand.  
  
What we are looking for  
  
We are seeking individuals who bring governance experience and strategic thinking, along with a commitment to the purpose and values of ELPNZ.  
In particular, the Board would welcome candidates who bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:  

  • Strategic finance experience 
  • Commercial or business development expertise 
  • Digital strategy, technology or data governance 
  • Education, adult learning, or working with non-English speakers 
  • Government, public sector, or community sector experience 
  • A migrant or former refugee background 

About the Role  
  
The position is voluntary, with appointment for a three-year term, and the opportunity for reappointment.  
The Board meets four times per year, usually on a Saturday. One meeting is held online and the remaining meetings take place in Wellington. Trustees are also expected to engage in some committee work between full Board meetings.
