About us

The Beautification Trust is a South Auckland-based social enterprise working to connect and empower communities to learn, love and look after our environment.

Serving communities for 25 years, our mahi spans environmental education, zero waste programmes, climate action, conservation and community projects across South and East Auckland. Everything we do is grounded in our values of Tiakitanga (Help), Hapori (Community), Ngaakau pono (Integrity), Manaakitanga (Care) and Auahatanga (Can do).

  • Identifying and securing funding from trusts, foundations, government, and philanthropic sources
  • Writing strong funding applications and coordinating inputs across the team
  • Keeping a clear view of funding trends and advising on where we focus our efforts
  • Supporting the development of corporate sponsorships, working closely with our Marketing & Communications team
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing partnerships
  • Managing reporting, funding calendars, and key stakeholder relationships
  • Tracking activity and sharing updates with the team

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development
  • Strong writing skills, including funding or grant applications
  • Understanding of New Zealand’s funding environment
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to work independently
  • Someone who values community, collaboration, and protecting te taiao

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a team that cares about people, community, and te taiao, and takes pride in the impact of our mahi. The Beautification Trust has been recognised as a finalist for Employer of the Year in the 2degrees Auckland Business Awards (2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025 – South and East Auckland).

  • Part-time role (16 hours per week) with flexible working hours
  • Hybrid working – a mix of working remotely with around one day per week in our Manurewa office
