VOLUNTEER STORE MANAGER Sustinnoworx Op Shop – Glen Eden

Are you passionate about sustainability, community impact, and empowering women? Sustinnoworx is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Volunteer Store Manager to lead our Glen Eden Op Shop.

About Sustinnoworx Sustinnoworx is a social enterprise reducing textile waste and supporting local women in vulnerable situations. All proceeds go to Shakti Women’s Refuge, helping Asian, African and Middle Eastern migrant and refugee women and children affected by domestic violence in New Zealand.

This is more than retail. It is purpose-driven work that creates social and environmental impact in our community.

The Role

As Volunteer Store Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Glen Eden Op Shop
  • Support and coordinate volunteers on roster
  • Ensure high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
  • Manage donations, sorting, and quality control of stock
  • Support sales tracking and basic reporting
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for customers and volunteers
  • Uphold Sustinnoworx values of dignity, sustainability, and women's empowerment

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience in retail, customer service, or team coordination
  • Is organised, reliable, and confident leading others
  • Has a passion for sustainability and social justice
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully
  • Can commit consistent volunteer hours each week

Previous op shop or retail management experience is an advantage but not essential.
