About Climate Club Aotearoa Climate Club Aotearoa is a not-for-profit helping busy people take meaningful climate action in 5, 15, and 30-minute chunks of time. We reach thousands of people through our weekly newsletter, workshops, and advocacy, focusing on visible, collective, and systemic actions from around the motu. Our goal is to inform and inspire more people to take regular climate action in their daily lives.
The Role As the Volunteer PR & Media Relations Coordinator, you will help us grow our reach and amplify our message. You’ll work with a small, supportive team of climate advocates, writers, and even a behavioural scientist to tell our story to a wider audience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Media Outreach: Identify and connect with media outlets, journalists, and public supporters (such as local radio hosts or university staff) who may be interested in sharing Climate Club’s high-impact actions and stories of hope and climate action.
  • Storytelling & Strategy: Contribute creative ideas on how we can tell our story to the public and the media to grow our community.
  • Visibility: Help promote our workshops, events, and special projects like the #ClimateClubChallenge to broader media channels.
Time Commitment & Location
  • Time: Approximately 2–4 hours per week.
  • Location: Fully remote and flexible—you can work from anywhere in Aotearoa.
