Kenzie’s Gift supports the mental health of young people across New Zealand whose parent or sibling has died, or who are living with serious illness in their family.

As our work grows, we are looking for someone who can help us tell the stories behind our work and grow support for families across the country.
We are looking for a Digital Storytelling & Fundraising Lead who can create compelling digital content and campaigns that connect people with the work of Kenzie’s Gift.
This role combines storytelling, social media, video content and digital fundraising.
The successful candidate will help bring the work of Kenzie’s Gift to life through thoughtful, authentic content that encourages donations and community support.
Digital Storytelling
Create engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
Produce short-form video including reels and social video content
Develop carousel posts and visual storytelling content
Capture and edit video stories from families, supporters and events
Fundraising Communications
Develop digital fundraising appeals and campaign content
Support key fundraising campaigns throughout the year
Create content that encourages donations and community fundraising
Turn real stories from families and supporters into meaningful digital storytelling
Digital Marketing
Manage social media content planning and scheduling
Create and manage Meta ads for fundraising campaigns
Monitor performance and refine campaigns accordingly
Work alongside our web developer on landing pages and digital campaign support
We are looking for someone with:
Strong video storytelling and editing skills
Experience managing social media channels and digital campaigns
Experience creating and managing Meta advertising campaigns
Strong visual design skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe or similar)
Ability to create thoughtful, emotionally intelligent content
Experience in charity, fundraising or purpose-led communications is highly desirable
This role will be engaged as an independent contractor under a contract for services agreement with Kenzie’s Gift.
The work is expected to average around 15 hours per week, although hours may vary depending on campaigns and project needs. No minimum hours are guaranteed.
The contractor will invoice Kenzie’s Gift for work completed.
