Grow Space is a registered charity working to cultivate a welcoming, inclusive and regenerative neighbourhood within the Fringe district of Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa.
At the heart of our vision is a thriving neighbourhood food hub where community, sustainability, and local resilience grow side by side. A community led hub which brings neighbours together to grow fresh food, showcase composting, host hands-on workshops, and create practical resources that support people to grow food at home.
Our intention is to build on existing neighbourhood skills and strengths through sharing knowledge in regenerative urban food systems. Assisting local people to develop the essential knowledge, tools, and confidence to be able to contribute to a more connected and food-secure neighbourhood.
Growspace operates at the intersection of:
Food resilience and education
Community wellbeing
Regenerative systems
We are currently in a strategic growth and rebuilding phase, strengthening governance and long-term sustainability as we develop our next chapter.
We do not currently employ staff, meaning trustees play an active and influential governance role in shaping our direction.
