Alzheimers NZ supports people living with dementia mate wareware to be in control of their lives, active and engaged with their community. The Dementia Learning Centre (DLC), a division of Alzheimers NZ, plays an important role in supporting the Alzheimers NZ strategy through positive and impactful workforce development across Aotearoa.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end technical delivery of KORA an ambitious AI-enabled platform being built to transform how dementia education is delivered and how care workforce wellbeing is supported in New Zealand.

This is a contractor role, approximately 18 hours per week, running from April 2026 to March 2028, fully remote. You will report directly to the Director of the Dementia Learning Centre and work alongside an external development team, AI ethics consultants, and academic partners.

You will own the full technical delivery from architecture review, supplier management, and agile ceremonies through to security testing, go-live, and sector-wide adoption. This is technical project management with genuine purpose.

We’re looking for someone who:

•        Has proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Product Owner, ideally in AI, mobile app, or health technology

•        Has strong agile product management skills backlog management, sprint facilitation, stakeholder communication

•        Has experience managing external development teams and third-party vendors

•        Is familiar with privacy by design, data protection, and AI governance principles

•        Can work independently across complex, multi-workstream projects with minimal oversight

•        Has a genuine commitment to social impact you want your skills to matter
