Birth Trauma Aotearoa is seeking a new Board Member.
As Board Member, you will help shape and guide the mahi our organisation undertakes while also advising on key Governance elements such as finance, sustainability, human resources, strategy etc.
Currently, Board hui are bi-monthly, via zoom with sporadic communications in between.
Birth Trauma Aotearoa is a small but mighty organisation working to improve the instance of birth trauma (both physical and psychological) in Aotearoa, as well as improve supports following it.
We are relationships-based and solutions-focused.
Governance experience is encouraged as well as a heart for maternity and welbeing services that centre whānau, equity, and empathy.

We are a nation-wide, registered charitable trust undertaking education, advocacy, research, and whānau support services regarding both physical and psychological birth trauma.
Our mahi centres mothers/birthing parents and the wider whānau.
We are relationships-based and solutions-focused.
We are small but mighty - at present, we employ one part time staff member, engage a select group of volunteers and are Guided by a Board of Trustees.
