Senior Crisis Support Worker
Wellington Sexual Abuse Help Foundation
Wellington Central, Wellington
Part-time (permanent) – 25-30 hours per week
Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP Foundation (HELP) supports individuals, whānau and communities impacted by sexual violence in Wellington, Porirua and the Kāpiti Coast.
Sexual harm can happen to anybody in our community. HELP offers support to anyone who has encountered sexual abuse or assault. We recognise that sexual violence does not only impact an individual in isolation, so we extend support to friends and whānau.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Crisis Support Worker to provide frontline crisis support to survivors of sexual harm, alongside day-to-day leadership and coordination of our crisis response service.
This role combines direct client support with oversight of day-to-day team requirements, including rostering, coordination of after-hours and on-call crisis responses, and active engagement with key external partners such as New Zealand Police and medical services involved in sexual harm response. Work will be based at HELP but required to travel to a range of places in the greater Wellington region as required by Police, SAATS, and clients.
