We are seeking a Programme Lead with experience in the disability and not-for-profit sector who is excited to strengthen foundations, bring their own expertise, and help take our organisation and its people to the next level.

This is a varied and people-focused position combining:
Programme design and delivery
Community-based support work
Organisational administration and systems leadership
A significant part of this role involves building trusted relationships and supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate confidently in social, recreational and community life.
You will work closely with the Mint staff team and Board of Trustees.
Occasional evening or weekend work for events may be required.
Programme & Community Delivery
Deliver inclusive recreation, vocational and social programmes
Support children, youth and adults to participate and build confidence
Facilitate group activities in adaptive, strengths-based ways
Build strong relationships with participants and their whānau
Plan and deliver holiday programmes, community events and social initiatives
Support and grow our volunteer programme
Promote dignity, choice and belonging across all interactions
Administration, Finance & Systems
Provide strong administrative leadership across the organisation
Manage financial processes using Xero (invoicing, expenses, reconciliation)
Support budgeting, forecasting and reporting
Contribute to funding applications and accountability reporting
Maintain robust systems, records and documentation
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding policies
Support clear communication across digital and community channels
This role is designed to grow with the right person. As Mint develops, there is genuine opportunity for this position to evolve into a senior coordination, operations or leadership role, with increased responsibility across:
Organisational systems and processes
Funding, reporting and compliance
Team and volunteer development
Programme oversight and quality improvement
We are seeking someone ready to contribute strategically and uplift team capability over time.
You are values-driven, highly organised, and confident balancing people-focused work with strong systems and structure.
You will ideally bring:
Experience in the disability and/or not-for-profit sector
Confidence working directly alongside individuals with intellectual disabilities
Exceptional organisational and administrative skills
Experience using Xero, budgets and financial reporting
Confidence contributing to funding applications and reports
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
Experience supporting volunteers
Confidence using IT tools (Excel, Canva and Social Media)
Ability to create and use visual supports
Full NZ Driver’s Licence
Police Check and Children’s Worker Safety Check (or willingness to obtain)
A relevant qualification is an advantage but not essential.
