Partnerships Lead, Garden to Table Trust

In this energising role, as part of our Fundraising and Communications Team, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and securing new corporate sponsors for the Trust. Working closely with the CEO, you will be focused on values-aligned, multi-year sponsorship relationships of mutual benefit for both partners.
The term 'sponsor' for the purposes of this role means all corporate relationships, and this includes but is not limited to: Partnerships or Sponsorships, as well as donations and services in kind from corporates.
This is a positive and rewarding role. You’ll be part of a kaupapa-led organisation where your work directly supports tamariki to build life-long skills and connections to kai, whenua and each other.
Garden to Table Trust is a growing charity which works with schools and kura to empower thousands of tamariki across Aotearoa New Zealand to whanake (grow), hauhake (harvest), whakarite (prepare), and whāngai (share) seasonal, affordable and sustainable kai. About the role
- Positive, rewarding mahi, as part of a supportive, passionate team.
- Lead the acquisition of new sponsorship relationships. Relationships that bring values aligned businesses onboard to back the positive work of the Trust in line with our strategic goals supporting tamariki, whānau, community and te Taiao, (the environment) for a brighter shared future.
- Work closely with the CEO to secure high-value, multi-year sponsorships that deliver mutual benefit.
- Collaborate across the Fundraising and Communication and with the Educations Team to showcase and steward sponsorship relationships.
- Build strong, enduring relationships with sponsors, ensuring they clearly understand the impact of their partnership with the Trust.
- Contribute to how we put into practice our commitment to honour the spirit of partnership with Māori embodied in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and our learning about te ao Māori and lifting te reo Māori.
- Support our goals to provide an equitable workplace, where differences and strengths are recognised and our team thrives.
- 20 hours per week, with flexibility to work from your home, based in either Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, or Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and travel as required.
About you
You will bring:
- A genuine passion for Garden to Table’s kaupapa and mission.
- An upbeat and collaborative and solutions-focused positive approach to problem solving.
- Proven experience in sponsorships acquisition and relationship management.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Commercial acumen with sound decision judgement on best value for efforts in fundraising.
- Commitment to grow your understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how this applies to your mahi for Garden to Table.
- Use of everyday te reo is an advantage, but willingness to learn and grow your reo is essential.
- Commitment to equity, diversity and culturally responsive practices.
What you will receive

- A salary between $92,643 – $96,928 pro rata for part-time, depending on the experience someone is bringing to the role, with $20 per fortnight toward working from home expenses.
- We believe in supporting your health and wellbeing. We offer three Garden to Table leave days (in addition to your Annual Leave). These three days each year are: a day off for your birthday, a ‘cool as a cucumber’ day off for your hauora (wellbeing), and a day to dedicate to your whānau.
- We are open to a discussing a contracting arrangement.
