The Professional Development and Events Coordinator role has responsibility for:
- Developing an ongoing, high-quality programme of professional development opportunities for members and other professionals that reflects the Society’s strategic objectives, and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Coordinating the Society’s Annual Conference and Psychology Week
- Supporting Volunteer Committees – Branches, Institutes, Special Interest Groups to offer their social, networking and professional development events for their members
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent project management skills
- Understanding or experience of professional development planning and delivery formats
- Competent with technology - using Zoom, Teams, Databases, etc.
- Experience with running large events over multiple days
- Builds friendly and professional relationships with members and external stakeholders.
The role is 25 hours per week (part-time) and can be based anywhere in the country as it is remote. Currently the rest of the small team is in the Lower North Island.
Occassional travel may be necessary.
