Are you passionate about seeing young people with disability leading, contributing, growing and belonging?

We are seeking someone to facilitate a new programme on Thursdays at our Centre in Onehunga, Auckland. Our new Elevate Youth Collective starts in February and will be for young people with intellectual disabilities. The programme will be an exciting mix for the young people, with opportunities to practice life skills, try new things, volunteer with local community groups, learn about God and connect with other young people with disability.
An additional aspect of the role would be assisting with a new Sign and Sing group for preschoolers with disability that will be facilitated by Mainly Music. You would need to set up for the group, prepare morning tea, and spend time connecting with the parents.

As this is a new programme there is a need to establish and develop the programme, with support from our Centre Manager. Depending on how the pilot programme goes we may look to increase the number of days offered.
There is potential for additional hours, if desired, to assist in the coordinating and running of our Elevate Family Camp for families with a child with disability.
The position requires working onsite at our Centre in Onehunga, Auckland.
