Arohanui Art and Education Trust (Arohanui) provides day services that have a creative and community approach for people living with a disability, with centres in both Tauranga and Te Puke.
Due to a further increase in client numbers requiring our services, we are looking for someone to join our Arohanui team.
The role is 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, working at our Greerton Centre.
We offer 30 hours per week, with our typical hours being between 9am and 3pm.

Who are we looking for?
Someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, is positive and able to pivot and adapt with ease to any changes that present themselves throughout the day. You will be proactive, energetic, have a great sense of humour and a strong desire to provide excellent services to the people we support - this is an absolute prerequisite.
We operate all year round, including school holidays, with a compulsory close down for three weeks over the Christmas / New Year period. We offer competitive hourly rates up to $29.97 per hour, depending on experience, as well as ongoing training and support to obtain a level 4 qualification in Health and Well-being.
What we are looking for:
Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities preferred, or a desire to work in the disability sector.
Experience/or comfortable in supporting people with personal cares.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Ability to be creative, to develop and deliver life skills programmes in a fun creative way.
An awesome team player.
A person with the right to work in New Zealand - no sponsorship available
Other requirements:
Clean full drivers license.
Current first aid certificate or willing to obtain one.
Employment is conditional on completion of a police check.
