POSITION: Legal Kaihautū
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (negotiable – part-time hours available for right
candidate)
TERM: Permanent
RESPONSILBLE: General Manager
SALARY RANGE: $113,735 to $120,113 (Pro rata)
Community Law Wellington and Hutt Vallery are seeking a Legal Kaihautū to lead our legal team.
The successful candidate will also supervise legal case work across both Wellington and Hutt Valley offices and undertake some of the more complex case work we take on at CLWHV.
The Legal Kaihautū will be accountable for:
● Legal case work: providing legal advice and representation for CLWHV clients
● Kaitiakitanga: Leadership of the general legal team
● Legal supervision: Direct legal supervision of the work of members of their team
● Staff and volunteer support: Monitoring the legal team’s capacity to ensure legal
kaimahi, including community lawyers and volunteers, are properly supported,
supervised, and trained.
