• Sustain existing partnerships and forge new partnerships with foundations, education sector and other relevant sectors related to programme funding and delivery
• Weekly planning meeting with International Liaison
• Provide monthly updates on the status of programme plans, contracts and agreements
• Deepen relationships and explore opportunities to work collaboratively with Maori organizations and agencies in New Zealand to: (i) broaden mutual awareness and understanding; (ii) explore opportunities for programmes (Roots of Empathy and Seeds of Empathy) and (iii) interest in funding partnerships to sustain programmes
• Meet the deliverables of funding agreements including writing reports and proposals
• Direct and support Key Point Persons (KPP) in organizing trainings and Instructor and volunteer family recruitment
• Manage and oversee the Roots of Empathy and Seeds of Empathy programmes throughout New Zealand
• Assist with Roots of Empathy research initiatives, as required
• Cultivate, build and maintain relationships with Regions across New Zealand
• With support from Head Office make presentations to raise and maintain the awareness of the programme: i.e. government officials, foundations, corporations, school board representatives, principals, teachers, parent groups, agencies and communities
• Work with the Roots of Empathy team to promote public awareness and report media and VIP requests to International Liaison for support

Roots of Empathy (ROE) is an evidence-based classroom program that started in Toronto, Canada. The program consists of guided observations of an infant's development and emotions by elementary school children. The project began in 1996, and was established by Mary Gordon, a Canadian social entrepreneur and educator. The project has since expanded to 11 different countries.
