Earth Stewards – Organic Urban Farm

Earth Stewards is a values-led, certified organic urban farm growing food for our local
community through our farm shop, local sales, and community engagement.
We are seeking a Business & Operations Coordinator to support the smooth running of our
commercial and community-facing activities, working closely with our Farm Manager,
administrator, and wider team.
This role focuses on coordination, systems, and relationships, rather than farm production. It
is ideal for someone who enjoys working across people, processes, and purpose in a small
organisation.
About the Role
The Business & Operation Coordinator is responsible for the smooth operation of Earth
Stewards’ commercial and community-facing activities, working closely with the Farm
Manager, administrator, and governance team.
This role focuses on marketing, coordination, and business systems, ensuring that sales
activity, shop operations, events, and administration are well planned and aligned with farm
production. This role does not require regular gardening or harvesting. Staying connected to the farm
happens through good communication and collaboration with the farm team.
Key Responsibilities
● Overseeing and coordinating shop operations and customer-facing activities
● Driving income generation through customer relationships and communication
● Coordinating events and community engagement activities
● Supporting business systems, planning, and reporting for governance
● Working closely with the administrator on invoicing, orders, and customer queries
● Acting as a key point of contact between the farm team and customers
About You
You are someone who:
● Has experience in business operations, coordination, or small organisation
management
● Enjoys working with people and building positive relationships
● Understands the realities of small, value-led organisations
● Understands (or is keen to learn about) organic, regenerative, and community-led
food systems
● NZ resident (or NZ residence visa/permanent residence visa)
● Current driver’s license
Experience in food, hospitality, agriculture, or community organisations is an advantage, but
not essential.
