Part-time – 20 hours per week
Days and hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.00am–2.00pm
The Pou Kaimahi / Administrator plays a key role in ensuring Victory Community Centre is a welcoming, safe and well-functioning community hub. This is a community-focused role and the first point of contact for community members, partners and visitors, while also providing essential administrative and financial support to the day-to-day operations of the Centre.
Provide a warm, welcoming and community-focused front-of-house presence
Respond to enquiries in person, by phone and email
Coordinate room bookings and support use of Centre spaces
Provide administrative support for programmes, events and activities
Support health and safety practices and a calm, respectful environment
Assist with kai initiatives and general administration
Support invoicing, receipting and basic financial administration
Use and maintain digital systems including calendars, databases and Xero
Support volunteers and work collaboratively with staff
You are organised, people-focused and values-led, with a strong community focus and interpersonal skills. You enjoy working with a wide range of people and can remain calm and respectful in a busy community environment. You are confident using technology, including financial and booking systems, or are willing to learn.
