Climate Club Aotearoa is passionate about driving meaningful action on climate change through education and community engagement. Our workshops empower schools, businesses, and communities to take action for a more sustainable future. Alongside this, we run a variety of impactful projects aimed at making climate action more accessible and effective.
We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Workshop Facilitator to help roll out workshops in Te Taitokerau - Northland intermediates and high schools in term 1 and 2 next year, and potentially support community and council workshops in the region. You will be trained to deliver 10 - 20 engaging school workshops between March - June 2026. We would endeavour to fit the workshops around your other commitments and will support you to deliver larger workshops if necessary.
This part-time role is an exciting opportunity to facilitate climate workshops and work with students and communities that contribute to our climate action goals. You’ll work closely with schools, stakeholders, and internal team members to deliver high-quality programming of our two-part Ripple workshop, supporting students to make plans to take climate action. You’ll be responsible for facilitating workshops in Te Taitokerau - Northland.
Facilitate interactive climate workshops for schools across Te Taitokerau. This includes building & maintaining strong relationships with school contacts, educators, and Northland Regional Council, and proactively finding opportunities for delivering workshops.
Manage workshop schedules, travel, and materials to ensure seamless delivery for yourself and other facilitators. Travel to schools for workshops if away from your home base will be required, but can be organised to fit in with your schedule.
Actively engage participants, adapting to each class’s needs as required, ensuring workshops are dynamic, relevant, and impactful. Follow up on workshops to offer continued support for student climate actions.
Handle communications with community groups, schools, partners, and other stakeholders.
Maintain participant records, feedback forms, and workshop data.
Provide regular updates and reports to the team on project progress and outcomes.
Collaborate with team members on funding applications and reporting (if applicable).
Experience in workshop facilitation, project coordination, or educational outreach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
