Want to help everyday New Zealanders have their say about policies that impacts climate change in Aotearoa? We’re looking for a volunteer to research submission and action guides around upcoming climate-impacting legal and business changes.
We are looking for people with any of the below areas (but, no experience is required!):
Passion for climate action and climate justice
Policy knowledge - background in policy, politics, law welcomed
Knowledge of Parliamentary and select committee process
Good research skills
Know-how of climate legislation and upcoming changes
Are able to be a reliable team player who can work independently, and communicate clearly on needs & timelines
This role is a volunteer position, for a researcher to help put together submission guides! Writing experience is not necessary.
The researcher would be looking at upcoming legislation that impacts climate change, and would be finding out what the bill would do, and its impact on climate whether positive or negative, to feed towards submission writing guides for the general public. They would need to summarise research in a cohesive and easy-to-understand way.
