Kia Ora Ake is a new locally co-designed tamariki hinengaro wellbeing approach for Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau and is part of the national Mana Ake programme. Mana Ake is a school based holistic wellbeing approach providing support to primary and intermediate school aged tamariki, their whānau and schools.

Join our amazing Programme Delivery Team to co-facilitate and prioritise oranga hinengaro / mental health wellness, working with schools, kura Māori and agencies. The team delivers whole of school programmes, group or classroom level programmes and/or support tamariki and their whānau to reach their oranga hinengaro goals.

Te Tai-awa o Te Ora is based in Otara, South Auckland. This team will work regionally in Counties Manukau alongside the wider Kia Ora Ake Provider’s network to support tamariki and whānau.

ka whai koe | you will have

Experience in applying the principals of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the way you work, being able to or open to the practice of Te Reo me ona Tikanga and the application of mātauranga Māori and hauora Māori concepts in the delivery of service.

  • It would be great if you had experience in supporting whanau in a community and/or school context.

  • Experience working with and advocating for young people (preferably tamariki) and whānau with mental health/wellbeing challenges.

  • Full current New Zealand Drivers Licence

  • Great communication skills and the ability to engage with Māori and non-Māori communities.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

$52,000 – $64,000 based on skills and experience (NZD)
