Are you passionate about the environment and community engagement? The Beautification Trust is seeking dedicated Trustees to join our Board and help provide strategic direction, oversight, and support to fulfil our mission: connecting and empowering communities to learn, love, and look after our environment.

About the Role

As a Trustee, you will work collaboratively with fellow Board members to ensure the Trust’s strategies and activities align with its mission, values, and objectives. This is an unpaid voluntary position, requiring a commitment of approximately 4–6 hours per month, including attending Board meetings and occasional events. Board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. 

Key responsibilities include

• Participating in regular Board meetings and contributing to strategic decision-making.
• Helping to shape and review the Trust’s policies, procedures, and strategy.
• Promoting the Trust externally and fostering relationships with stakeholders.
• Providing guidance to ensure compliance, financial sustainability, and effective risk management.
• Supporting staff and volunteers to deliver meaningful community and environmental outcomes.

About You

We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for environmental issues and community engagement. You’ll bring:

• A commitment to the Trust’s mission and values.
• Strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience in governance, non-profit management, or a related field such as legal, finance or marketing and communications.
