About Us
Wellington Women’s Health Collective has been supporting women in our community since 1986, providing free counselling, support, and advocacy services. To sustain our work, we run fundraising events, including movie nights and raffles, twice a year.
Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and organised Volunteer Event Planner to help coordinate our fundraising events. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys planning, has great attention to detail, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate our biannual movie fundraiser and raffles
- Organise event logistics, including venue booking, ticket sales, and promotion
- Seek sponsorships and raffle prize donations from local businesses
- Work with volunteers to ensure smooth event execution
- Assist with budgeting and expense tracking for events
- Work with our media team to promote events through social media, community networks, and email campaigns
- Attend and oversee events to ensure they run smoothly
Skills & Experience
- Event planning or coordination experience (professional or volunteer) preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable reaching out to businesses for support and sponsorship
- Passion for supporting women’s health and wellbeing
